So I've searched some more and came across this post with a peculiar fix, but HELL FUCKING YEAH, THIS WORKED!! My speed in the official launcher went up to 38 Mb/s instead of 4,7 Mb/s, so that's a fucking win. This works wonderful for me, but I couldn't help but wonder, why the official launcher was so slow. of 2 - Download Speed is very slow (Premium) - posted in Vortex Support: Vortex Version: 1.0.0 Hi, I downloaded small files which are less than 500MB with decent speed (23 MB/s) and now I am trying to download huge files like Weaponsmith Extended(4.27GB), unique NPCs(6.31GB) but the speed doesnt go up higher than 128 KB/s. This is usually normal, because most high-speed Internet connections. One of the fixes I stumbled across, between the loads of post talking about contacting your ISP (live in the EU, NEVER have done this nor will I) or changing the ports (already did, didn't do jack shit) I've found the unofficial launcher FFXIVQuickLauncher, found here. For many users, uploading files is quite a bit slower than downloading files. However, in the FF launcher I only get speeds of 4,7 Mb/s, which is frustratingly slow. By default, Intel® SSU will take you to the ' Summary View '. Set the ‘Download Speed Limit’ to ‘Don’t Limit’. Run the Intel® System Support Utility ( Intel® SSU) and attach the report generated: Open the application, check the ' Everything ' box, and click on ' Scan ' to see the system and device information. Increase the number of parallel download connections to 6 if you are downloading lots of small files.

I have a 300 mbit/s connection and in Steam I'm getting 25 Mbyte/s, so thats pretty fast. In MEGAsync, go to Settings - Enable ‘Don't use HTTP’ as your ISP might be caching connections to MEGA’s servers. I too just begun playing FFXIV and noticed that the official launcher was very very slow.
